Take U4P2 pre-test; correct answers together. Students who earned 100% will receive opportunity to complete an alternative assignment.
Student’s seats have been arranged into 6 groups of 5 students to make “Study Tables”. At each table is a completed Story Map for Miracle’s Boys. Each student will receive a large Review packet—the last page will be a blank story map for students to fill-in their own copy.
Based on the info obtained from Friday’s exit slip, a variety of study tools have been created to help support each student in his/her needed preparation for tomorrow’s test. Options for how to utilize study tables:
1) Complete the study guide questions together—figurative language, parts of speech, characterization, analysis and comprehension
2) review characters and each one’s role in the story (also on study guide)
3) Make flashcards (available on front table) and quiz each other on figurative language and parts of speech definitions.
4) Complete a story map to review mood, theme, plot diagram, etc.
5) Borrow one of the 5 envelopes in the front of the room, containing symbolic images used in class on Friday. Each has cut into smaller squares—spread them out and match them with their appropriate description/explanation for the image (on a separate square).
